Dr.
Cain has been practicing Chiropractic in Anchorage since
moving to Alaska in 2000. He received his Doctor of
Chiropractic degree from Western States Chiropractic
College in Portland, Oregon in 2000. In 2004, Dr. Cain
became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician through
the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians,
following a one year course of study through Northwestern
Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Dr. Cain is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning
Specialist accredited through the National Strength
and Conditioning Association.
Originally
from northern Minnesota, Dr. Cain was an academic scholar
at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana,
from which he received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Preprofessional
Studies and The Program of Liberal Studies in 1994.
Addionally, he received a Bachelor of Science degree
in Human Biology from Western States Chiropractic College
in 1998 while in his second year of chiropractic school.
He moved to Alaska as it is one of the few regions with
mountains, seafood and a real winter, affording him
an opportunity to backpack, eat fresh halibut and salmon,
and cross-country ski on a regular basis. In addition
to playing in adult hockey, softball and indoor soccer
leagues, Dr. Cain coaches and youth basketball through
the Boys’ and Girls’ Club, and has coached
youth hockey through the Anchorage Hockey Association.
He also volunteers his services for businesses, organizations,
elementary schools and the like, giving presentations
or talks on topics spanning the fields of health and
fitness. |
